Huawei Pushes the Boundaries with Vision

Sunday, November 27, 2011

Huawei Mobile today launched its most stylish and advanced Android Smartphone to date. The Huawei Vision brings together cutting edge technology and stylish design at an unbelievably low price.

The unique launch event was held this morning at Sydney’s cutting-edge venue, White Rabbit Gallery. Incorporating augmented reality elements to show-off the design and features of Vision, the event allowed guests to experience the world through Huawei’s eyes – truly pushing the boundaries of reality.

Huawei Australia Devices Marketing Director, Mark Treadwell, told guests that the Vision had been designed with the end-user in mind.

“Vision epitomises everything that Huawei stands for,” he said. “The award winning[i] Vision pushes the boundaries of accessibility, style, cutting edge technology and user experience with a unique curved screen, 3D user interface, Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and host of smart features, all at a very competitive price.”

Featuring a streamlined aluminum alloy unibody, Vision measures just 9.9mm at its thinnest point and boasts a 3.7 inch curve design touch screen. Made using the same technology applied to the production of Swiss watches, each Vision screen takes up to 17 hours to craft, creating a 3D touch screen experience, brought to life with a 3D mobile interface and offering consumers an exceptional 3D experience.

Running on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 8255 processor, Vision features a customisable user interface that enables home screen panels to be explored easily and rendered in a number of ways, including as a 3D carousel interface.

The feature-packed Vision has a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and supports 720p video recording and playback, with Bluetooth V2.1 with A2DP and high-speed Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. Vision also offers access to thousands of apps through the Android Market and a full range of messaging capabilities, including Push Email and IM.

The Huawei Vision is available from Thursday 24th November, exclusively through Allphones for $279 outright or on a $19 Optus cap.

“Allphones is delighted to see new manufacturers coming into the market with fantastic hardware designs and using the latest technology platforms,” commented Shaun Colligan, CEO, Allphones.

“Huawei has shown its strength in the market over the past 12 months and we look forward to developing our partnership over the coming years. Vision is exclusive to the AMT Group, and all the staff are extremely excited about the prospect of this fantastic new handset.”
